Position Description:
The Edmundston Regional Hospital, in Edmundston, located in Northwest New Brunswick, at the borders of Quebec and the United States, is recruiting a full-time Pathologist. The successful applicant will provide pathology services to the patients of Zone 4. Job Duties:
This is professional medical work performed by certified specialists (those with a specialty certification as recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NB). Duties are performed with considerable clinical independence in the diagnosis, care and treatment of medical disorders within the scope of the specialty in which they are practicing. Clinical care and performance may be subject to supervision and assessment by the physician's Clinical Department/Division/Service Head and/or Program Director in which the physicians works. Review of clinical work may also be supervised by the Local and/or Regional Chiefs of Staff and the Zone's Medical Director for the Regional Health Authority (RHA). The physician works in accordance with RHA Bylaws and policies.

Remuneration:
The candidate will be remunerated on a salaried model. This may range between a minimum of $223,288 to a maximum of $271,466 annually (excluding benefits and source deductions) based on qualifications and experience. In addition, a market adjustment for pathologists of 22.5% will be added to the above salary. On call remuneration is fee for service.

Qualifications:
• Graduate from an approved school of medicine supplemented by post-graduate study in the area of specialization (Pathology)
• The candidate must have his certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification (FRCPC) or American Board certification of Pathology in AP/CP or Board eligible

Description of Position:
The successful applicant will be based at the Health Sciences Centre (HSC), 820 Sherbrook Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba, one of the two main teaching hospitals associated with the University of Manitoba. They will join a collegial group of approximately 25 pathologists, including 2 other experienced neuropathologists. A group of 10 neurosurgeons that services the entire region (adult and pediatric) is located at the HSC. Currently the annual workload of surgical cases is comprised of ~450 specimens (including ~80 muscle biopsies). Intraoperative consultations are performed 2-5 times per week. A multidisciplinary brain tumor clinic is well established. A program in epilepsy surgery began in 2017. All job duties are required in English.

This is a term 0.75 part-time position until August 2018. The successful applicant will participate in the neuropathology service, which will include: 1) shared responsibilities for signout of surgical (brain, muscle, nerve) and autopsy (brain) specimens, 2) participation in multidisciplinary neuroscience case management rounds, 3) participation in neuropathology-related teaching (residents in neurology, neurosurgery, and anatomical pathology, as well as undergraduate medical students), and 4) participation in neuropathology-related quality assurance activities. Currently, there is no on call duty for the neuropathology service, although changes in the future cannot be ruled out.

• Ability to obtain licensure to practice as a pathologist in the Province of Manitoba through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Surgical Pathology Instructor

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (USA). Beverly Pathology invites applications for Surgical Pathology Instructor positions in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The successful candidates will join a subspecialized anatomic pathology department which supports the clinical and academic missions of an internationally recognized department. One year of prior fellowship training in surgical pathology or a surgical pathology subspecialty is preferred. Eligibility for California licensure and for appointment to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff is required.

These positions are one year in duration with graduated independent sign-out, coupled with responsibilities in resident/gross room teaching, an active intraoperative consultation service and part- time research. The first half of the year will have a heavy emphasis on independent growth, with time divided between sign out of cases from core specialties and intraoperative and gross room consultation. By the end of the second quarter, the Instructor will be expected to be capable of independent sign out. Instructors will also have 4 weeks of elective time, which may be used to complete research projects or for subspecialty rotations of personal interest.

Instructors will be employed by Beverly Pathology, an independently contracted pathology group under the Cedars-Sinai Medical Foundation providing exclusive pathology services to the Medical Center. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, located at the junction of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, is an 886 licensed bed quaternary medical care facility and is the largest private not-for- profit provider of health care on the West Coast, treating more cancer patients than any other medical center in Southern California. The Department, with its 50 faculty, oversees a clinical operation of over approximately 5 million laboratory tests, robust outreach and consultative referral practices. Surgical Pathologists

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, in Rochester NY is seeking two surgical pathologists to join a vigorous academic department. Broad expertise in surgical pathology is preferred with subspecialty expertise, particularly in gastrointestinal and/or genitourinary pathology. Duties include participation in the clinical service responsibilities of the anatomic pathology section at the VA, including but not limited to: providing clinical care; overseeing clinical care provided by house staff (residents) or other trainees; performing, supervising, or directing basic and applied research; following medical center and medical staff policies; staying current in medical knowledge and recent advances in assigned areas through continuing medical education; complying with patients' rights and monitoring subordinates' compliance; providing timely, effective, efficient, appropriate, safe, ethical, and mindful patient care; assisting with resident, medical student, and pathologist assistant education; and possible part-time rotation in an appropriate pathology subspecialty at the Yale-New Haven Health System. The successful applicant is expected to have scholarly interests and to qualify for an appointment to Yale faculty, with salary and appointment level commensurate with prior accomplishments.
