IRVINE, CALIFORNIA (USA). The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified candidates for all ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic medicine career in pathology will be given the opportunity to grow in a new and dynamic department that provides care in all UCI Irvine clinical locations. This includes the UC Irvine Douglas Hospital, a modern facility opened in 2009 with state-of-the-art operating rooms and all new equipment. Douglas Hospital is the only level I trauma center in Orange County. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent managerial skills, a strong interest in service activities, a commitment to education and a proven record in clinical and/or translational research. The candidate will be responsible for all surgical pathology services when on duty and also is expected to participate in intradepartmental and hospital committees and to teach medical students, residents and fellows. Hematopathologist

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA (USA). Pathology Associates P.C. is looking an additional hematopathologist to join our group of 13 pathologists. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a full time board certified surgical pathologist with fellowship subspecialty training in gynecologic pathology to join a department that currently includes eleven anatomic pathologists and five clinical pathologists. Responsibilities include sign-out of general and oncologic gynecologic biopsies and resections as well as general surgical pathology specimens. The hospital has an active gynecology department with nine gynecologists, including three gynecologic oncologic surgeons, and six advanced practitioners. The anatomic pathology section processes over 33,000 surgicals, 12,000 gynecologic cytology and 7,000 non-gynecologic cytology specimens per year. The Pathology Department is seeking one pathologist at Assistant or Associate Professor (nontenure) (depending on qualifications) to replace a position beginning July 1, 2018. UPMC–PASSAVANT has a surgical pathology volume of over 16,400 surgical cases and 2,800 non-gynecological cytopathology specimens. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking an academically oriented, board-certified, surgical pathologist with fellowship training or practice experience in GYN Pathology. Additional fellowship training in Cytopathology or Bone/Soft Tissue Pathology is desirable. This is a full-time appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Professorial rank on either the tenured or non-tenure clinical track, depending on qualifications.

The department is experiencing rapid growth and currently has a subspecialized clinical service model. The Surgical Pathology section processes over 38,000 surgical pathology cases annually with a large case variety. The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience in the specified specialty. The Cytology Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) is seeking an academically oriented cytopathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending Pathologist. Additional subspecialty interest in Genitourinary, Head and Neck Pathology or Molecular Pathology is desirable, but not required. Proficiency in rapid on-site adequacy assessment is expected.

The MSKCC Cytopathology Service is currently composed of 11 cytopathologists supported by a dedicated team of allied health staff and state of the art laboratory infrastructure including immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular pathology laboratories. The service has an active fine needle aspiration service and utilizes state of the art telepathology systems for rapid on-site adequacy assessment. The service has an ACGME accredited fellowship program with 3 fellows/year.

Applicants should be board certified in Anatomic Pathology and board certified or eligible in cytopathology. A strong clinical and/or research track record in the subspecialty would be beneficial to the application. Major duties will include overseeing a plasmapheresis unit and working with and assisting the Medical Director of the Blood Bank at UMC-NO. The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology of the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a fulltime experienced ABP certified/eligible pathologist with a primary interest in breast and gynecological pathology. Currently, CLS is a multi-site, regionalized laboratory providing comprehensive laboratory services to Calgary and surrounding communities. CLS processes 30 million total tests annually within all laboratory disciplines, that includes analysis of >1,000,000 microbiology samples. Job Summary & Responsibilities

Qualifications

Compensation

TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (USA). An opening exists in our Pathology Department for a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible pathologist. We are a hospital-based contracting partnership in St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. Our hospital has 189 beds and is part of the St. Luke’s health system, an Idaho-based, not-for-profit health system. We are a 4-person pathology group in Twin Falls, Idaho, a town of approximately 50,000 in south central Idaho on the Snake River, known for its opportunities in outdoor activity. Our annual approximate volumes include 11,000 Surgical Pathology specimens, 700 Nongynecologic Cytology specimens, 90 Bone Marrow Exams and 7000 Pap Smears. We perform the bone marrow biopsy/aspiration on many of the patients. We also perform an occasional fine needle aspiration on palpable masses. Autopsies are rare. We currently have one pathology assistant that performs the gross pathology and helps with frozen sections. We are actively involved in the clinical laboratory. We also cover the pathology work for some smaller hospitals in south central Idaho, including one in Ketchum, where we offer frozen section services on Monday and Thursday. We offer a track which would end in full partnership.

We are interested in a pathologist with strong Surgical Pathology skills and we would favor to candidates with either Hematopathology or GI Pathology fellowships. Clinical Pathology skills and interests are also valued.

DUARTE, CALIFORNIA (USA). The Department of Pathology at the City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking an academic molecular pathologist for full-time appointment at the assistant or associate professor level. Preference will be given to candidates who are academically accomplished and with subspecialty training and clinical experience.

City of Hope is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. The Department of Pathology handles over 20,000 surgical cases annually in all subspecialties of surgical pathology and hematopathology. The Department has excellent molecular and cytogenetic laboratories to support clinical diagnosis and translational research.

The successful candidate should also possess strong diagnostic skills in either surgical pathology or hematopathology. Sign-out responsibilities, on-call duties, and conferences are shared with other members of the pathology faculty. Minimum requirements include an M.D. degree, eligibility for licensure in the State of California, board certification in pathology, and fellowship training in molecular pathology.
