Vice Chair for Anatomic Pathology
PORTLAND, OREGON (USA).
The Department of Pathology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland, seeks a diagnostic expert in the field of Anatomic Pathology who has a strong interest in shaping the operations of the Division of Anatomic Pathology and assisting the Chair in mentoring of Anatomic Pathology faculty. The Department is rapidly growing and the optimal candidate will be interested in participating in new and innovative operational strategies to enhance workflow, develop and insource new technologies, embrace pilot initiatives in the Anatomic Pathology clinical and research arenas, grow outreach, develop and promote work-life integration projects, and oversee clinical operations in Anatomic Pathology, which includes surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy pathology, hematopathology, and neuropathology.
Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude, successful leadership and communication skills, embrace innovation and collaboration, and be prepared to act as a change-leader for this growing academic program. Additional qualifications include a strong publication record, an interest in teaching pathology residents and fellows, board-certification in Anatomic Pathology, and the ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Oregon and qualify for at least Associate or Full Professor status at OHSU. Physician-scientists with research laboratory activities are also encouraged to apply.
