Our fast-paced, high volume 17 Pathologist group includes 5 PAs and 3 PhDs. In 2017, we signed out approximately 60,000 surgicals, 7,000 Pap smears, 5,600 non-gynecologic cytologies and approximately 600 bone marrows. Qualified applicants will be dermatopathology fellowship-trained with strong general surgical pathology skills, AP/CP board certification and dermatopathology board certified/eligible. You will be expected to stay current and possess high diagnostic integrity in surgical pathology with an understanding of applicable molecular techniques. Prior practice experience is desired but not required.
Service responsibilities include signing out general surgical specimens with an emphasis on dermatopathology, interpreting intraoperative frozen sections, rapid on-site cytology evaluations, presenting at dermatopathology related specialty tumor boards, serving as CLIA director for various clinical laboratories, providing intradepartmental consultation, continuing education and covering call.
