The Laboratory Medicine Program of Eastern Health invites applications for the position of full-time Anatomical Pathologist for the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), Canada.
Candidates with experience or sub-specialties in surgical, breast, gynecological, dermatopathology or hematopathology are encouraged to apply.
This is a 2 person pathology unit where the workload responsibilities are shared with sub-specialist consultants available. The laboratory processes approximately 5000 surgical specimens and 25 medical and medical examiner autopsies yearly. Surgical specimens include: GI, breast, gynecological, skin, and hematopathology.
Excellent communication skills with a team player approach and commitment to high quality patient and physician services is required.
We are affiliated with the Memorial University of NL Medical School and encourage and support academic interests.
Interested applicants must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador, certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anatomic Pathology, certification by the American Board of Pathologists in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP or AP/CP boards), or equivalent and meet the credentialing requirements of Eastern Health.
