The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking a Pathologist (MD, MD/PhD), certified in AP&CP by the American Board of Pathology, with broad skills in surgical pathology for the Bridgeport Hospital practice. This full-time position will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor on the ladder faculty. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut.
The successful applicant must have a focus on diagnostic excellence in a semi-specialist surgical pathology environment, performing at a standard commensurate with a major academic center. Fellowship training in broad-based areas, such as surgical pathology or cytology would be advantageous. An interest in Breast and/or Gynecologic Surgical Pathology or GI Surgical Pathology would be ideal. Cytopathology training also desirable. Excellent communication skills are essential. Opportunities to also participate in the practice, teaching, and research activities ongoing at the Yale Medical School Campus are available, and the successful applicant should expect to spend some of their time at the central Yale campus in New Haven participating in the clinical and academic activities available there.
Bridgeport Hospital is a highly integrated member of the Yale-New Haven Health System, with 383 licensed beds, and 42 additional pediatric beds licensed under the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. It is a major teaching Hospital, with ~235 medical/surgical residents affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. The Department of Pathology at Bridgeport Hospital is entirely staffed by physicians who are faculty members of the Yale Department of Pathology. Senior residents from the pathology training program at Yale rotate at Bridgeport; teaching is a major component of the position.

AP/CP Board Certification will be required within one year of starting. Chesapeake Pathology acts as an independent consulting group to handle the full range of surgical pathology and cytology specimens from local physicians and the three hospitals in the Shore Regional Health System (SRHS), affiliated with the University of Maryland. The Laboratory Medicine Program of Eastern Health invites expressions of interest for multiple full-time, permanent Anatomical Pathologists with sub specialty expertise in any of the following areas, dermatopathology, gynecological, head and neck, lung and lymphomas to join a group of 16 pathologists, medical microbiologists and clinical chemists providing hospital laboratory services. Our laboratory currently processes ~ 40,000 surgical pathology specimens annually. On-call coverage is shared equitably within the group. The Health Science Centre is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. The candidate will have opportunities to perform translational and clinical research.

Women's Health Pathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a faculty member at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Level with diagnostic and academic expertise in women's health (breast and/or gynecologic pathology) with an interest in cytology.
We are seeking an individual who values working in a collegial environment at an institution with superb clinical material and collaborations with dedicated clinical colleagues. The successful candidate will join an academic faculty with diverse diagnostic expertise, teaching responsibilities and research activities. Mount Sinai Hospital has an internationally renowned and expanding clinical program in Women’s Health with over 6000 pathology cases/year including an extensive consult service. We utilize leading edge diagnostic technologies.
Candidates must have a medical degree and hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anatomical Pathology, or equivalent, and be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Fellowship training or experience in breast and/or gynecologic pathology is required. Fellowship training in cytology would be an asset. The preferred candidate must be an excellent diagnostic pathologist with a demonstrated interest in teaching and a track record in clinical or translational research. In addition, the candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the uniform level of compensation in the Province of Ontario. The Ministry of Health and Long Term Service has implemented a program to ensure a total compensation package that will equalize your compensation with that of other Laboratory Physicians in the Province.
