  • Most common adrenal cysts
Epidemiology
  • Highest incidence is in the 5th and 6th decades
  • Mostly in women
  • 8% bilateral
Clinical features
  • May produce flank pain and vague gastrointestinal complaints

  • Epithelial cyst: cytokeratin positive
  • Cystic degeneration of adrenocortical neoplasm: Inhibin+, MelanA+, CD31-, ERG- (Mod Pathol 1997;10:530)
  • Malignant neoplasm: 7% of all adrenal cystic lesions
