Definition / general
  • Very rare, usually ages 30s and 40s
  • Often involves calcaneus; also femur, tibia; almost all cases are intramedullary
  • Usually asymptomatic and an incidental finding

  • Sharply outlined lytic lesion with rarefaction of bone, central area of calcification
