- Latent period usually 14 years after radiation of giant cell tumor of bone, or other bone / non-bone tumor
- Survival similar to osteosarcoma, regardless of histology
- High grade sarcoma, either fibrosarcoma, osteosarcoma or malignant fibrous histiocytoma
