Buccal mucosa: stratified squamous epithelium (LFA-3+)

Cardiac muscle: intercalated discs and capillary endothelium (LFA-3+)

Cerebellum: cortical microglia (A, LFA-3+); liver: Kupffer cells (B, LFA-3+); skin: epidermal dendritic cell (C, LFA-3 +)

Kidney: proximal tubule (LFA-3+, p) and distal tubule (d) epithelial cells with central, spherical nuclei (LFA-3 negative)

Testis: cells close to seminiferous tubule boundary, reminiscent of Sertoli cells

  • Leukocytes (but not mature B cells), pre B cells, erythrocytes, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, fibroblasts and cardiac muscle (J Clin Pathol 1990;43:893)
