● Usually associated with HPV 6 or 11
Terminology

● Due to the presence of koilocytes, these lesions are categorized as low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL) in cytology
● They may be diagnosed as ASC-US when all features are not present
● Immature condyloma / papillary immature metaplasia: metaplastic squamous cells with nuclear enlargement, occasional binucleation, uniform nuclear contours, minimal hyperchromasia (Diagn Cytopathol 1998;18:416)
