Definition / general
  • Rare; resembles more common bladder tumor

Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Inverted epithelial nests separated by fibrovascular septa
  • Epithelial nests have peripheral palisading and are composed of uniform cells containing "swirling" oval nuclei with longitudinal grooves
  • Nests contain cystitis glandularis type areas
  • No significant atypia
  • No / rare mitotic activity
