Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Well circumscribed, composed of interlacing bundles of spindle cells interspersed with collagenous strands, scattered inflammatory cells with peripheral cuff of lymphoid aggregates, often PAS+ crystalloids; may exhibit nuclear atypia
  • No mitotic figures, no epithelioid features, no skenoid fibers
