  • #2 lacrimal sac carcinoma after squamous cell carcinoma
  • May cause death if inadequate or delayed therapy

  • Marked pleomorphism
  • Numerous mitotic figures
  • Stromal invasion

  • Extensive surgical excision and radiation therapy
  • 50% recur and recurrences may cause death
Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Exophytic and endophytic papillary lesions
  • Increased cellularity with spindled elongated cells and goblet cells
  • May have nuclear pleomorphism and mitotic figures
