  • Very rare in heart; more common in lung
  • Usually benign but may have malignant histology
Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Circumscribed
  • Organoid pattern of tumor cells with clear to eosinophilic cytoplasm, abundant glycogen in rich vasculature
  • No / rare mitotic figures, no necrosis

  • S100, keratin, neuroendocrine markers, muscle markers
Electron microscopy description
  • Glycogen, abundant mitochondria, premelanosomes
