Definition / general
  • 90% men, ages 37 - 77 years
  • Usually supraglottic larynx or pyriform sinus
  • Cases described had recurrence, usually at higher grade, but no metastases (Am J Surg Pathol 1990;14:134)

  • Local excision may be curative
Gross description
  • Yellow polypoid masses, 2 - 6 cm
Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Often well differentiated liposarcomas with atypical cells, scattered lipoblasts and infiltration
