● Most cases are Waldenstorm macroglobulinemia (IgM hypergammaglobulinemia), rarely IgA (J Med Assoc Thai 2009;92 Suppl 3:S65)
● Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia is most commonly associated with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, but can rarely occur with other types of B cell lymphoma (Am J Surg Pathol 2003;27:1104)
● 72 year old man with peliosis hepatis (Arch Pathol Lab Med 2004;128:1283)
● Portal tracts and sinusoids markedly expanded by small, plasmacytoid lymphocytes
