  • Black streaks in nodal capsule
Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Focal blue nevus cells in capsule or along fibrous trabeculae
  • Cells are heavily pigmented dendritic and bipolar nevus cells, mixed with macrophages; no atypia, no mitotic figures

  • Uniform round nevus cells with indented nuclei, dispersed chromatin, randomly oriented cytoplasmic fibrils and a few mature melanosomes (Cancer 1982;49:269)
