Definition / general
  • In children, 75% male, usually localized disease, no bone marrow involvement, often in nasopharynx, excellent prognosis
Microscopic (histologic) description
  • Usually centroblast predominant (grade 3 of 3) with high mitotic rate
  • May have plasmacytoid differentiation
Positive stains
  • Monoclonal light chain expression, BCL6
Negative stains
Molecular / cytogenetics description
  • Usually no BCL2 gene rearrangements but monoclonal
