Definition / general
  • Also called papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum
  • Very rare in nasopharynx; almost exclusively found in the parotid salivary gland
  • Usually men, peak incidence in seventh decade of life
  • Associated with cigarette smoking
  • Reactive, not neoplastic

Treatment
  • Excision is almost always curative, rarely recurs
  • May be associated with other benign or malignant tumors

  • Glandular and cystic tumor lined by an inner double layer of oncocytic epithelium with a lymphoid cuff
