Definition

● 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH), also called HPGD, oxidizes hydroxyl group of prostaglandins to a ketone, leading to loss of biological activity; inhibited by aspirin and NSAIDs
● Also a tumor suppressor (Carcinogenesis 2005;26:65)
