● Submucosal cysts are also called gastritis cystica profunda
● Cysts may also be part of Menetrier’s disease
● Intramucosal cysts occur in body in 70% with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, may give rise to fundic gland polyps, severity associated with serum gastrin (Hum Pathol 2000;31:140)
