● Spindle cell or less commonly epithelioid tumor, usually in soft tissues, rare in stomach
● Cases in gastroesophageal junction and stomach wall (Mod Pathol 2000;13:68)

Biphasic cell population separated by discrete electron dense basal lamina; epithelial cells have numerous microvilli projecting into a luminal space
t(X;18) is characteristic
