Definition / general

Rare congenital disorder with numerous irregular cystic spaces in mediastinum testis
May be due to defect in connection between rete testis / seminiferous tubules and efferent tubules
Sometimes associated with renal agenesis or dysplasia (ipsilateral)

Two premature newborns and 9 year old boy with cystic dysplasia studied by light and electron microscopy (Arch Pathol Lab Med 1984;108:579)
