Electron microscopy description
- Follicular epithelial cells contain yellow pigmented granules with lipofuscin; are autofluorescent
End of Thyroid gland > Congenital anomalies > Tay Sachs disease (amaurotic familial idiocy)
- Osmophilic deposits in cytoplasm of follicular cells
