Features to report for tumors

We list features to report for various tumors and surgical procedures based on recommendations in the relevant medical literature. However, each institution or pathology group may have its own list of reportable features, based on accreditation standards, ongoing research studies, personal preference, or other factors. Thus, our list can only be advisory for any particular situation.
Additional general references that may be helpful include the College of American Pathologist protocols, or the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
We also provide links to checklists for particular tumor types, as available. Please note that these checklists were intended for use in particular institutions at a specific point in time, and may not be optimal for all practice settings.
