Faculty Positions – Academic Surgical Pathologists

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit faculty clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is in a phase of growth under new leadership of the Department of Pathology. We are growing our clinical services, genomic molecular pathology, digital and computational pathology and innovative research programs. These non-tenure track faculty appointments will be made at ranks (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include providing clinical service in surgical pathology subspecialties including breast, GYN, ENT, genitourinary, renal, thoracic, lung pathology and/or cytopathology; teaching residents, fellows, and medical students and maintaining an active research program as independent investigators or in collaboration with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians and basic investigators. We are also considering surgical pathology candidates with training and certification in molecular genetic pathology or expertise in digital and computational pathology. Candidates with strong research backgrounds who may establish principal investigator-led research may be considered for appropriate research support and laboratory space.
Minimum Qualifications: MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent; board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the time of appointment; eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia; and fellowship training and/or experience in general surgical pathology and/or a subspecialty area of surgical pathology.
