St. Elizabeth Healthcare (SEH) seeks a full-time surgical pathologist to serve our expanding healthcare system, covering pathology services in Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. SEH is a Catholic healthcare ministry with six hospital facilities and 165 St. Elizabeth Physicians specialty and primary care offices throughout Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking an additional pathologist to help provide services to four hospitals. This position would ideally start between August and December 2022.
Qualified Candidates:
- AP/CP board certified or eligible.
- Eligible for medical licenses in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and State of Indiana.
- Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training in one or more of the following areas: GI, hematopathology, dermatopathology, breast, cytopathology, or surgical pathology.
- Strong diagnostic skills in a wide variety of surgical specimens.
The anatomic pathology division at SEH processes approximately 30,000 surgical pathology cases, 14,000 gynecologic cytology and 3,000 non-gyn cytology cases annually. SEH currently employs ten pathologists, three full-time ASCP certified pathologists’ assistants and four ASCP certified cytotechnologists.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a board certified surgical pathologist. Fellowship training or strong interest in Genitourinary, Gynecologic or Pulmonary pathology preferred. The successful candidate would join an academic hospital-based practice and engage primarily in anatomic pathology subspecialty clinical service and teaching duties. This position will work on 1st shift reading slides, and occasionally provide consultation in the Clinical Pathology laboratory, usually on reading a smear.
Job duties include:

• Weekly conferences to discuss difficult cases
• No Frozen or Autopsies will be read in this role
Requirements:
• Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology boards required, and Cytopathology boards strongly preferred, as is a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Applicants must be state licensed in one or more of the following states: OH, PA, KY, IL, IN, MO, WI, MI, WV, MD
• Must be licensed MD in the state of Kentucky and compliant with appropriate CLIA requirements.

Renal Pathologist
Norton Healthcare
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY (USA).
A private pathology group contractually employed with Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a renal pathologist to provide diagnostic services. Candidates must possess a medical degree, be board certified in AP or AP/CP, and be eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Kentucky. Successful completion of a fellowship in renal pathology is highly desirable. Candidates should be proficient in immunofluorescence and electron microscopy and eager to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
The renal pathology service covers pediatric and adult kidney biopsies for the Norton Healthcare system. There is also ample opportunity for additional service work from other regional hospitals. The renal pathology service is fully supported by an on-site lab with histology, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy. On average, the lab processes approximately 400 kidney biopsies per year.
The city of Louisville stands on the banks of the scenic Ohio River and is famous for the Kentucky Derby, held the first Saturday in May. Louisville is a thriving city and home to the University of Louisville. The area features many parks, art galleries, and performing arts organizations, as well as a wonderful local restaurant scene. AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist
WESTERN KENTUCKY (USA).
A small private practice pathology group in western Kentucky is recruiting a full-time AP/CP board certified pathologist for their growing practice. The group currently consists of two partners serving 5 hospitals in addition to a number of physician offices and outpatient clinics. Anchored in our flagship hospital, we offer a state-of-the-art lab with a robust immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization menu to work up our many interesting cases. Duties include sign out of a mixture of surgical pathology, gyn/non-gyn cytopathology cases and medical directorship responsibilities. Proficiency in frozen sections and rapid FNA evaluations is required. No autopsies, FNA or bone marrow procedures. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience but recent graduates with subspecialty training are encouraged to apply.
