Subspecialty board certification in Forensic Pathology is preferred but not required. The autopsy service is centralized at Mount Sinai Hospital and performs over 350 autopsies per year. Mount Sinai was at the epicenter of initial wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The autopsy team generated an enormous amount of information shared, both nationally and internationally, through numerous publications in high impact journals. Clinical knowledge resulting from such studies has changed the management of COVID-19 patients. As a result, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) chose this site as one of 5 centers for the Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) Initiative to perform complete, rapid autopsies with extended tissue collection and biobanking protocols to define the pathophysiology of post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection or PASC. The successful candidate will join two other autopsy pathologists as well as a team of subspecialty pathologists, residents, and biobanking and other technical support personnel in support of this exciting effort.

The Clinical Chemistry Service currently consists of 5 faculty members, 1 manager and 1 assistant manager, and 45 technologists, and supports the MSK system of Memorial Hospital and regional Labs. Responsibilities:
Clinical: The position includes a clinical commitment to the Clinical Chemistry service at MSK. The individual will be responsible for directing, instructing, and supervising fellows, managers, supervisors, and technologists providing diagnostic service. Faculty are also expected to provide clinical consultation to health care providers, and to maintain regulatory compliance with all relevant regulatory, federal, state, and local mandates. Other duties include the development and validation of assays, contributing to laboratory quality efforts as well as sign out duties.
Research: Development of a research program based on biomarker assay development relevant to cancer care in collaboration with clinical staff is expected.
Teaching: The candidate will participate in the training of Clinical Chemistry and Lab Medicine fellows through lectures, clinical supervision and mentorship as well teaching of laboratory technologists and supervisors.
Service: MSK has a system of shared governance. Active participation in committees, professional organizations, continuing education, and other appropriate outlets is required.
Appointment will be to the rank of Assistant Member (equivalent to Assistant Professor) or above commensurate with experience. The position will report to the Service Chief, Clinical Chemistry. The selected candidate will provide clinical services in both anatomic pathology and clinical laboratory management. Academic Surgical Pathologist or Hematopathologist and Molecular Pathologist
SUNY Upstate Medical University

The Department of Pathology at SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking an enthusiastic, fellowship-trained academic general surgical pathologist or hematopathologist and molecular pathologist with strong diagnostic, educational and interpersonal skills. Candidates with training or experience in molecular anatomic pathology are preferred. Candidates with hematopathology training need to be willing to participate in solid tumor molecular pathology. Responsibilities include sign out of general surgical pathology or hematopathology (depending on the candidate), molecular oncology, teaching of pathology residents and medical students, and collaborative clinical or translation research. Candidates must be board eligible or certified in AP or AP/CP and Molecular Genetic Pathology and must be able to obtain a New York State medical license. Board eligibility or certification in Hematopathology is required for candidates with hematopathology training. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The surgical pathology and the hematopathology services currently accession about 20,000 and 3,500 cases per year, respectively and are supported by state-of-the-art histology, immunohistochemistry and molecular laboratories.

The Department of Pathology at White Plains Hospital is seeking qualified candidates with excellent communication skills to join our staff. This will be a per diem opportunity for three months only beginning from Mid- November 2022 until mid-February 2023. Position requirements include successful completion of an ACGME residency program in either AP or AP/CP with additional fellowship level training in surgical pathology (general or subspecialty). The ability to obtain an unrestricted medical licensure in New York is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with 5-10 years of sign out experience, subspecialty expertise in one or more of these sub-specialties - cytology, breast, gynecologic or genito-urinary pathology.
