Partner Track Surgical Pathologist/Hematopathologist
EUGENE, OREGON (USA).
Pathology Consultants, P.C., in Eugene, Oregon has a partnership track opportunity for an AP/CP boarded pathologist with hematopathology fellowship training. The candidate will join our two board-certified hematopathologists providing coverage of hematopathology and surgical pathology services.
The group is a stable physician-owned practice with a long history in the community and is comprised of nine pathologists with multispecialty training including cytopathology, dermatopathology, breast/gynecologic and hematopathology. The group provides pathology services to two local hospitals as well as medical directorship for several local/regional hospital laboratories.
The successful candidate will be AP/CP and hematopathology boarded or eligible. Current trainees are strongly encouraged to apply. Hematopathology duties include interpretation of bone marrow biopsies, lymph nodes, flow cytometry (performed in house) and liquid hematology cases. Performance of bone marrow biopsies is required and the candidate should have some experience with the procedure. Additional interest in transfusion medicine and laboratory directorships would be welcome. Surgical pathology duties include shared coverage of intraoperative consultations and general surgical pathology sign-out. The position does not require sign-out of cytology specimens.
The Eugene/Springfield area is home to 250,000 people. The candidate should be proficient with general surgical pathology although subspecialty training or interest in gynecologic pathology or neuropathology is a plus. Vice Chair for Anatomic Pathology
PORTLAND, OREGON (USA).
The Department of Pathology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland, seeks an Anatomic Pathologist who has a strong interest in shaping the operations of the Division of Anatomic Pathology and assisting the Chair in mentoring of Anatomic Pathology faculty. The Department is rapidly growing and the optimal candidate will be interested in developing new and innovative operational strategies and technologies to enhance workflow, embrace pilot initiatives in the Anatomic Pathology clinical and research arenas, grow outreach, foster work-life integration projects, and oversee clinical operations in Anatomic Pathology, which includes surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy pathology, hematopathology, and neuropathology.
Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude, successful leadership and communication skills, embrace innovation and collaboration, and be prepared to act as a change-leader for this growing academic program. Additional qualifications include a strong publication record, an interest in teaching pathology residents and fellows, board-certification in Anatomic Pathology, and the ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Oregon and qualify for at least Associate or Full Professor status at OHSU. Physician-scientists with research laboratory activities are also encouraged to apply. Expertise in cytopathology is valued, but not required, for this position.

Pacific Pathology Associates, (PPA), a Sonic Healthcare USA Anatomic Pathology practice, is recruiting board certified AP/CP Pathologists to join our team. Pathologists with fellowship training in Breast/Gyn, GI, and/or Cytopathology; as well as a disciplined interest in Clinical Pathology are particularly invited to apply. Additionally, we are seeking candidates interested in working within a dynamic multi-specialty Pathology practice providing AP/CP services to both inpatient and outpatient clients.
