A fellowship trained cytopathologist will be preferred. This will be based at a physician-owned laboratory and work includes sign out solely of gynecologic biopsies, Pap smears and urine specimens. The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a full-time ABP board certified/eligible MD or MD/PhD anatomic or clinical pathologist with expertise in clinical laboratory informatics. Subspecialty training in pathology informatics such as a clinical informatics fellowship and/or an advanced degree in informatics is preferred; however, applicants with other training or experience may also qualify. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity.
The incumbent is expected to participate in clinical service and have significant effort dedicated to institutional informatics services and initiatives. The position will have protected time to develop an investigational career, with a goal of developing collaborative or independent research. The successful candidate will also support trainee and faculty development in informatics through collaboration and teaching.
This position will provide expert support in informatics across the MHealth Fairview care system and maintain a level of systems integration necessary to support safe and effective patient care as it relates to the professional practice of laboratory medicine and pathology. The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a fulltime ABP board certified/eligible molecular pathologist. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity. Minimum requirements are an M.D or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certification or board eligibility in CP or AP/CP, completion of an ACGME-accredited pathology residency training and a molecular genetics pathology fellowship program.
This position will include molecular pathology work in the molecular diagnostics laboratory (including next generation sequencing oncology triage, testing, and interpretation) and COVID-19 molecular pathology work in collaboration with the department’s Advanced Research Diagnostic Laboratory.

Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Pathology
Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine

Sante Consulting has recently been engaged to conduct a national search for a fellowship trained, board certified or eligible Transfusion Medicine/ Blood Banking pathologist. Our client is an academic university based medical center, located in New York.
The Transfusion service includes the largest blood bank in the County, an active donor room, and a busy apheresis program that supports the Oncology Service, the Renal Transplant Service, and the Neurology Service. This individual will also be a member of the general Clinical Pathology service. The candidate will participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and will be expected to engage in scholarly activities involving clinical, translational, or basic research. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and academic record.
In addition to service, education and research the Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor will serve as assistant medical director or medical director of the Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Service, depending on rank and experience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: M.D. or equivalent. New York State medical license (or eligibility). American Board of Pathology (ABP) Certification in Clinical Pathology. ABP certification in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine OR completion of an accredited Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship, OR currently enrolled in an accredited Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as an attending physician in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. 1-2 years of experience in clinical apheresis. Fellows are encouraged to apply. Demonstration of scholarly capability/research experience and teaching experience.
