Three pathologist assistants handle grossing responsibilities. The pathologists function as integral members of the clinical team, diagnosing approximately 55,000 surgical cases, 700 bone marrows, and 6,000 cytology specimens annually from three large regional hospitals and several outpatient centers. Call is limited to a few weeks per year and weekend coverage is compensated with extra weekdays off. Pathologists do not perform autopsies.

AP/CP Board-Certified Full-Time Pathologist
EASTON, MARYLAND (USA).
Chesapeake Pathology Associates, LLC, a group of three pathologists, is seeking an AP/CP board-certified full-time pathologist. One pathologist is retiring. This is a partnership track position.
The pathologists are hospital-based independent contractors. The candidate’s pay and benefits will be commensurate with the candidate’s ability, credentials, and experience.
A surgical pathology fellowship is desirable, or specialty training in skin, breast, or gastro-intestinal pathology. Good communication and computer skills are required.
The pathologists oversee three hospital laboratories, in Easton, Cambridge, and Chestertown. These three hospitals form Shore Health System, which is an affiliate of the University of Maryland Medical System.
In anatomic pathology, there are about 11,000 surgicals per year, 1300 non-gyn cytologies (including FNAs), and 2300 Paps. The group has one Pathologists’ Assistant who grosses the surgical cases and assists with frozen sections. No autopsies are done locally; these are performed by the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
In clinical pathology, the hospital laboratories have a volume of about one million tests per year. Each pathologist covers one or two specialty areas, such as Chemistry or Blood Bank. On call requirements (nights, weekends, holidays) are light and equally shared.
Easton has long been considered one of the most livable small towns in the US, and it has easy access to Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. It is a “weekend getaway town” for many people in the region, and so has a much higher density of amenities (such as fine restaurants) than might be expected from the size of its local population. Great Lakes Pathologists, SC (GLP) is recruiting for an anatomic pathology/clinical pathology certified or eligible pathologist with dermatopathologist specialty board certification or eligibility to join our group in 2021. Dermatology trained/board certified candidates with dermatopathology specialty board certification or eligibility would also be considered.
Dermatopathologist
GLP provides pathology services to ACL Laboratories for Aurora facilities of AdvocateAurora Healthcare and ProHealthcare facilities throughout eastern Wisconsin. There are currently 50 pathologists (two of which are dermatopathologists) and 15 pathologists' assistants providing services for 17 hospitals, numerous clinics and a busy outreach laboratory business. GLP examines over 100,000 surgical specimens and over 20,000 dermpath cases. This opening is a dermatopathology only position with no on-call requirements working with 2 GLP dermatopathologists. This is a partnership track position based in Milwaukee.

AP/CP Pathologist
TRAIL, BRITISH COLUMBIA (CANADA).
Practice Details - KBRH is recruiting for a clinically-oriented pathologist, eligible for BC medical licensure as a Canadian General or Anatomical Pathologist, for a three-person practice. Primary responsibilities include medical directorship of area labs, local clinical laboratory oversight, clinical pathology case sign out to include hematology specimens and transfusion medicine, as well as a minor component of general anatomic pathology case sign out. Participation in the on-call rotation for laboratory medicine and transfusion medicine is required.
The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of clinical practice experience, with strong skills in clinical laboratory diagnostics including transfusion medicine, hematology, clinical chemistry, laboratory management and oversight, and evaluation and sign out of bone marrow biopsies. Additional training and experience in general surgical pathology sign out is required. Professionalism, including the ability to effectively communicate and get along well with other laboratory staff, clinicians, and administration, and participation in committee work is expected.

Anatomical Pathologist (Multiple Positions)
Seeking Multiple sub-specialties in Gynecological, Head & Neck, Lung & Breast
Full-time – Health Science Centre, Eastern Health, St. John’s, NL
St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador (CANADA).
The Laboratory Medicine Program of Eastern Health (EH) invites expressions of interest for multiple full-time, permanent Anatomical Pathologists with sub specialty expertise in any of the following areas, dermatopathology, gynecological, head and neck, lung and lymphomas.
The successful candidate will join a group of 16 pathologists, medical microbiologists and clinical chemists providing hospital laboratory services. Our laboratory currently processes approximately 40,000 surgical pathology specimens per year. On-call coverage is required and shared equitably within the group. The Health Science Centre is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University.
Through strong formal affiliations with Memorial University, and on the recommendation of the Discipline Chair, the successful candidates may be eligible for a clinical faculty appointment in the Academic Department of Laboratory Medicine and may be expected to participate in collaborative research activities and scholarship (ie: teaching).

Applications are invited for two full-time pathologist positions with a start date in July 2021. We are seeking candidates with fellowship training and/or significant working experience in gynecological, gastrointestinal, or dermatopathology. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in more than one subspecialty. The candidate will participate in diagnostic and consultation services at The Ottawa Hospital General Campus.
The minimum requirements to apply include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, license to practice in Ontario, and Royal College of Physicians (Canada) certification or equivalent in Anatomical Pathology. The candidate will have academic appointment at the University of Ottawa and is expected to participate in research as well as in undergraduate and graduate teaching activities. The academic rank will commensurate according to the academic experience and the university guidelines. The Province of Ontario has uniform minimal level of salary and benefits for the pathologists. EORLA operates 18 regional hospital-based licensed clinical laboratories across the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (CLHIN) of Eastern Ontario including the Ottawa Hospital and the Children Hospital of Eastern Ontario. The laboratory staff includes over 725 Medical Laboratory Professionals, 70 Medical/Scientific staff and 15 Pathology Residents.
The Division of Anatomical Pathology Reference Laboratory at the Ottawa Hospital processes more than 75,000 surgical pathology specimens and 20,000 cytology specimens per year.
