Applications are invited for Anatomic Pathology Instructor positions in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The successful candidates will join a subspecialized anatomic pathology division supporting the clinical and academic missions of an internationally recognized department. One year of prior fellowship training in surgical pathology or a surgical pathology subspecialty is preferred. Eligibility for California licensure and for appointment to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff is required.
Anatomic Pathology Instructor

These positions are one year in duration with graduated independent sign-out, coupled with responsibilities in resident/gross room teaching, an active intraoperative consultation service and part- time research. The first half of the year will have a heavy emphasis on rapid development of independent growth, with time divided between sign-out of cases from core specialties and intraoperative and gross room consultation. By the end of the second quarter, the Instructor will be expected to be capable of independent sign out, with earlier granting of sign-out responsibility possible.
Instructors will also have 4 weeks of elective service time, which may be used to complete research projects or for subspecialty rotations of personal interest.
Instructors will be employed by Beverly Pathology, an independently contracted pathology group under the Cedars-Sinai Medical Foundation providing exclusive pathology services to the Medical Center. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, located at the junction of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, is an 886 licensed bed quaternary medical care facility and is the largest private not-for-profit provider of health care on the West Coast, treating more cancer patients than any other medical center in Southern California.
The Department, with its 50 faculty, oversees a clinical operation of over approximately 5 million laboratory tests, robust outreach and consultative referral practices. The Division of Anatomic Pathology processes over 58,000 surgical and 25,000 cytologic cases annually.

Instructional Assistant / Associate Level Faculty Position

The Department of Molecular and Cellular Medicine, College of Medicine at Texas A&M invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the instructional Assistant or Associate levels. Engineering Medicine (ENMED) is a collaborative venture among Texas A&M College of Medicine, Texas A&M College of Engineering and Houston Methodist Hospital. ENMED graduates receive a MD degree and a Master of Engineering in four years. This first-in-the-nation program blends experiential learning in engineering innovation with medical school training to create a new kind of physician, a “physicianeer” with the goal of transforming health care. ENMED is located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center (TMC).
ENMED will consider applicants with expertise and experience in pre-clinical medical school instruction. Candidates must possess either a medical degree or a doctorate in a closely related discipline. An engineering background is a plus. Specific expertise is required in one or more core pre-clerkship curricular topics, including: pathology, gross anatomy, renal/genitourinary and integument/musculoskeletal.
Candidates will participate in developing and delivering the pre-clerkship curriculum and working with other members of the ENMED faculty to integrate medical training with instruction in engineering principles. Experience in development and/or oversight of a pre-clinical medical school curriculum, with preference for a flipped-classroom, active-learning approach, such as case and/or team-based learning, is preferred. In addition to instructional responsibilities, candidates will be expected to contribute to curricular development and development of innovative instructional methods and fostering collaboration among the three ENMED partners.

Assistant Professor without Tenure

The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking a full-time pathologist for appointment as Assistant Professor, without tenure due to funding, to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and molecular diagnostic testing in the Hematopathology Laboratory at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, as well as teaching hematology / hematopathology to students, residents and fellows. Applicants are expected to be involved in administrative aspects of the lab, including new test development, and develop an area of focused research / scholarly work.
