The Division of Anatomic Pathology handles about 17,000 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases a year and it is expanding rapidly. The Division of Anatomic Pathology serves USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital, and the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute. The two hospitals are licensed for 550 beds combined. Molecular/next generation sequencing, cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu of tests available. The Department has a combined residency training program in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with 12 residents and new fellowship programs. Subspecialty training and/or experience in Breast and Gynecologic Pathology is preferred but not required.
The candidate must have academic credentials and experience in administration. Faculty Position: Vice Chair Research Pathology

The Department of Pathology at the Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Vice Chair for Research Pathology. The successful candidate will have a solid background in a multidisciplinary academic clinical practice and research setting. The Department of Pathology at LSU Health Shreveport is seeking a talented surgical pathologist to direct the anatomic pathology division and laboratory at a large academic medical center. The Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine seeks a Chief of Pediatric Pathology based at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The section of Pediatric Pathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology currently includes four faculty members dedicated to the evaluation of approximately 9465 pediatric and 1181 placental cases per year (a total of 24,014 parts), clinical and translational research, and education. Education is primarily focused on our large residency and fellowship programs, including an ACGME-accredited pediatric pathology fellowship. Active interaction with the many strong clinical pediatric subspecialty divisions at Monroe Carell is a hallmark of the program.
The Department has a strong and diverse faculty, excellent training programs, and a supportive atmosphere for practicing subspecialty academic anatomic pathology. Applicants must be board certified in Pediatric Pathology and eligible for medical licensure in the state of Tennessee. Depending on qualifications and experience, applicants are expected to be eligible for appointment at the professor or associate professor level on the Clinician Educator track. The successful candidate is expected to be a high-performing, dynamic and data-driven individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring colleagues and trainees in the Department.
