University Pathologists (UPLLC), an Aurora Diagnostics and Sonic Healthcare Partner, is recruiting for a dynamic Hematopathologist to join our team at Southcoast Health, in New Bedford, MA. Southcoast Health provides a continuum of health care services in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, ranging from primary care to neurosurgery with hospitals in Fall River, New Bedford and Wareham, MA, urgent care centers, cancer centers, rehabilitation, lab and VNA, as well as a number of physician practices throughout the South Coast region.
Candidates with five years of experience in the field of hematopathology, with expertise in different subspecialties of hematopathology including Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Cytogenetics, Coagulation and Molecular genetics, are preferred.
The candidate must be fellowship trained and AP/CP Board Certified. Expertise in clinical pathology is most welcomed. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with clinicians, administrators and laboratory staff. The successful candidate should be a strong team player and have the ability to work independently.
This full-time position is an integral part of UPLLC in southeastern Massachusetts. University Pathologists is a growing, multi-specialty, multi-state professional group of 20 pathologists with 9 pathologist assistants, providing Anatomic and Clinical Pathology to multiple hospitals, surgery centers and outpatient facilities in MA, RI and CT.

Cytogenetics/Molecular Genetics Faculty Position

WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA (USA).
The Department of Pathology’s Section on Medical Genetics Laboratory is seeking a Clinical Cytogeneticist/Molecular Geneticist to join us in our Mission to Care, Mission to Cure at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The ideal candidate for this faculty opportunity would possess the following qualifications:
• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD
• ABMGG-certified (or active status) in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics and Clinical Molecular Genetics and Genomics; or certified (or active status) in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently solve a wide range of complex problems
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience
Duties will include:
• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics, and molecular genetics laboratories to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations including maintaining CAP-accreditation and CLIA-certification
• Review, interpret, and report patient results
• Communicate test results and the technical aspects of assays effectively to clinicians, colleagues, and laboratory staff
• Assist with developing, implementing, and validating new protocols and instrumentation
• Assist in teaching medical students and residents
The successful candidate will be actively involved in an opportunity to expand the Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics programs and work collaboratively with faculty. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative or independent basic or applied genetics research.
