Definition / general
- Rare pattern with rosette-like configuration simulating glands
- Usually male patients under age 30
- Sites: metaphysis of long tubular bones
- Survival: poor, with 75% dead of multiple lung metastases despite surgery with wide margins and systemic chemotherapy; estimated 5 year survival of 15 (Hum Pathol 2001;32:726)

- Highly destructive with variable mineralization

Microscopic (histologic) description
- Osteoblastic osteosarcoma with small multinodular growth pattern, lacelike osteoid deposits, hemangiopericytoma-like vessels, rosette-like formation, epithelioid tumor cells
