JONESBORO, ARKANSAS (USA). Doctors’ Anatomic Pathology Services, P.A. is recruiting an AP/CP BC/BE surgical pathologist. The starting date is flexible, with the hope to begin by July 2022. This is a partnership track position in an independent private pathology group (8 pathologists, 3 pathology assistants) which has served multiple hospital systems in Northeast Arkansas for over 60 years.

This is a diverse practice providing gyn and non-gyn cytology services, hematopathology, dermatopathology, and the evaluation of complex cancer resection specimens (Commission on Cancer accredited), in addition to other hospital-based general surgical and clinical pathology services.

A successful candidate would be well rounded in general surgical pathology and enthusiastic about clinical pathology. Sub-specialty fellowship training in surgical pathology, cytopathology, or dermatopathology would also be beneficial. The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills and an interest in developing leadership skills to serve as a laboratory director and function on various hospital committees. The applicant must be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas and have an unrestricted right to work lawfully in the United States. Position Description
Carolinas Pathology Group seeks a board qualified or eligible anatomic & clinical pathologist for a partnership track position in its Spartanburg, South Carolina location. Subspecialty fellowship training is required with Derm, Gyn, Breast, Lung or GU preferred.

Spartanburg Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, a five acute-care hospital system in the vibrant Upstate region of South Carolina, whose service area spans four counties. Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is also home to the Gibbs Cancer Center, a growing regional referral center with multiple locations in the Upstate.

This individual will provide visible and accessible leadership for all aspects of laboratory medicine, interacting with laboratory senior leadership and administrative staff, referring clinicians, and hospital and medical leadership. Pathologist

COLUMBIA, TENNESSEE (USA). We are seeking a pathologist to join our group which is based close to Nashville, TN. We are a physician owned pathology group with an excellent reputation in the community. We serve many of our area hospitals. This particular position will require the pathologist to serve a local area hospital and as well as spend time at the main facility.

Responsibilities include:

  •   Participation in hospital meetings as needed
  •   Overseeing the hospital clinical laboratory
  •   Performed frozen sections and adequacy for FNAs

When off-site, the main laboratory will provide support services with easy consultation from other pathologists when necessary. Hematopathologist Opportunity

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (USA). Cook Children’s, in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for a full-time, experienced hematopathologist to direct the hematology, hematology-oncology, and flow cytometry sections of the laboratory. The candidate would also hold the medical directorship/CLIA license at a hematology-oncology laboratory at a Cook Children’s satellite infusion center. Duties include flow cytometry call and shared holiday coverage; willingness to help the team with limited pediatric surgical pathology duties is desirable. The candidate will have an MD or DO degree (or equivalent), be board certified in anatomic and/or clinical pathology and hematopathology, and have at least three to five years of experience. Board certification in pediatric pathology or experience in pediatric hematopathology is preferred, but not required. The candidate must be eligible for licensing in Texas.

The primary focus of the institution is on extraordinary patient care with a very close consultative relationship between the department and the clinical services. The candidate would join a department which includes three pediatric pathologists, a dual-boarded pediatric pathologist/ hematopathologist, a dual-boarded pediatric pathologist/molecular pathologist, a PhD clinical microbiologist, and a PhD clinical chemist. Over 350 bone marrow biopsies, approximately 150 flow cytometries (including minimal residual disease analysis), 35-40 lymph node biopsies, and over 1000 hematology-oncology cerebrospinal fluid cytologies are performed annually, in addition to about 7000 surgical specimens, 200+ cytologies, and 20-30 autopsies. The program supports very active hematology and hematology-oncology groups, with specialists in pediatric leukemia/lymphomas, histiocytic neoplasms, sickle cell disease, thrombosis, and bone marrow transplant.

The Division of Clinical Microbiology utilizes the latest in infectious disease diagnostics, including laboratory automation, and routinely evaluates emerging technologies in order to best serve our continually expanding patient base. The high specimen volume and broad diversity of infectious diseases diagnosed by our laboratory lends to numerous educational opportunities. As such, the Division offers both an ACGME-accredited fellowship in medical microbiology and a CPEP-accredited post-doctoral fellowship in medical and public health laboratory microbiology. Additionally, there are educational opportunities offered by our pathology residency, clinical laboratory science, infectious disease pharmacy, and adult and pediatric infectious disease training programs. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. We are closely affiliated with large and expanding programs in Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplant, with strong emphasis on myelodysplasia, acute leukemia and lymphoma. Our growing CAR-T cell program offers excellent opportunities to combine interests in diagnostic pathology and immunotherapy. The candidate will be a member of a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists, with opportunities to join established basic research programs, as well as excellent opportunities for translational research in areas of related interest. Required Qualifications:
M.D. or equivalent. Illinois State medical license (or eligibility). American Board of Pathology (ABP) Certification in Anatomic or Clinical Pathology. ABP certification in hematopathology OR completion of an accredited hematopathology fellowship, OR currently enrolled in an accredited hematopathology or molecular genetic pathology fellowship.
