Microscopic (histologic) description
- Well formed, dilated vascular channels in superficial dermis with dissecting pseudoangiomatous pattern in deeper dermis
- Endothelium exhibits hobnailing and stromal papillae but no multilayering or tufting
- No / mild atypia; no mitotic figures
Positive stains
- CD34, factor VIII related antigen and Ulex europaeus; variable CD31
